another lazy day.
got a missed call from this rather familiar looking number in the morning though. the old nokia was out flat, & i was tempted to just leave it. but somehow the number was just a tad too familiar. thought for a while, & suddenly realised - uncle ricky !!
messaged him to ask what's up, & he called back to ask if i'm at chai chee today. he's around bedok to pass some stuff to a client. well, i'm not at chai chee, but i'm at home - which is even better.
uncle ricky came by to pick me up for lunch. just before leaving the house, i suddenly remembered that big guess bag of clothes, & so conveniently brought it along & dumped it with him. ha-di-ha.
we had duck rice around geylang area. not the one sold by the 3 fat brothers, but this one was pretty good too. havent seen uncle ricky in quite a while. he looks.. rather old & haggard now. his moustache & goatee wannabes are rather messy & hum sup looking, while his hair is messy with even more white than before. told him rather proudly that i'm now an official M. he just said as usual, "you're not fat what, just fluffy'. lolx.. this time round, it's him the one who's abit more puffy. can see from his jowls & waistline that he hasnt been running lately. he just say "busy lor".
uncle ricky dropped me off at bugis after lunch. went by 四马路 first before heading to BHG. or, as uncle ricky put it, 又去烦观音了. lolx..
went to look at shoes while waiting for joyce. abit disappointing, the range that was on display at the moment. scholl didnt really have anything nice. the red strappy one that's prominently featured on their adverts, didnt fit my fat feet well. the other 2 black high heeled ones, one's in mock croc, the other's patented platform. both wouldnt have been my first choice. when joyce finally came, she showed me rockport shoes instead, saying that they're really built for comfort. the only nicer ones from rockport was square toed, which to me looked kinda weird, but according to joyce is better for comfort. tempted to get the beige one, for the simple reason that i dont have any beige shoes while having too many black ones.
