i tried to rush, i really did. but stil ended up being late.
chose to go by public transport becos i didnt think taking a cab was worth it. luckily, even though it was slightly after 7 pm when i walked into the ballroom, the event hasnt started yet.
felt kinda weird sitting there. like, being amongst them. yet not really part of them. it was awkward to the point where i had to take out my mobile & start clearing old messages. so when they finally started serving, i concentrated on the food intead. which wasnt bad actually. either that or i was really hungry.
it actually all went by rather quickly. boss saying hi to me (& commenting rather insensitively that i've gained weight - which i havent okie), the team going up on stage & we all heading out to the foyer thereafter.
didnt participate in the photo taking frenzy becos i felt so out of place. but someone actually surprised me. it was 龙, who said to me "很久没有看到你了 hor". seriously, i didnt think he'll even notice. but then again, maybe he just wanted me to help him take photos. hur hur.
Jane was there too. as an mdc award recipient, she was there in her own right. she came over to say 'hi', asked me how i was, & whether i was joining them for the after party later. i didnt know whether it was appropriate to join in actually. like, wanting to go along for some fun hopefully like last year, & yet hesitant, not wanting to feel awkward all over.
