i learnt an important lesson today - old doesnt necessarily means good.
there's this goreng pisang stall at bedok interchange hawker centre, right at the very corner. i used to love going there for their tapioca. in fact, for a very large part of my life, i was holding on to the belief that their tapioca was the best. that was until i followed Ah Jee & family to pek kio market for breakfast one morning & tried the tapioca there - super yummy!
today, i decided to walk a little further & tried out this other new stall instead. wow, they're having some kind of sale too. friendly good service too. made me happy just by buying from them.
& when i finally took a bite from their tapioca (which was bigger in size & less oily looking), i was super impressed! wow.. very very delicious! cant believe that just walking a few steps down i can get double the taste at a few cents cheaper.
poor old stall. it had better buck up.
